Sukhdev directs the Colloquium for Unpopular Culture at New York University. His books include London Calling, Night Haunts, and Other Musics. He wrote 'City Unmute' while listening to Wolfgang Voigt's Rückverzauberung live in London LP on repeat during lockdown in New York in 2020.
